Prince Harry moves from chief impact officer to adviser at BetterUp
Prince Harry is stepping down as BetterUp's chief impact officer after five years and will become a senior advisor, the company said on Friday.

Prince Harry is stepping down as chief impact officer at the online mental health coaching company BetterUp. He is not leaving altogether: from now on he will be a senior advisor.
The company announced the change on Friday.
What happened?
BetterUp CEO and co-founder Alexi Robichaux shared the news in a statement on the company's website. He said that "after five incredible years together", the Duke of Sussex would move into a senior advisor role.
In that job, Harry, 42, will focus on key projects with some of BetterUp's largest enterprise customers. Robichaux also said the move gives him more time for his investments, new business opportunities and philanthropic causes.
The company will keep its partnership with the Invictus Games Foundation, which Harry founded. It supports veterans in their recovery.
"Prince Harry's time on our leadership team marked an impactful chapter of growth for our company," Robichaux wrote. He added that he is glad they "get to keep doing this work together in this new capacity".
How did we get here?
Harry joined BetterUp in March 2021 as chief impact officer. It was his first major corporate job after he left royal duties.
At the time, he told The Wall Street Journal that he intended "to help create impact in people's lives".
The change comes less than three months after Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, 45, landed at Birmingham Airport on 26 August. They arrived with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, after a private flight from California. They were reportedly planning to stay in the UK for an extended period.
They have since reportedly moved into the home of a wealthy businessman friend in the Cotswolds.
What else is in the news?
The announcement came on the same day that Meghan's estranged father, Thomas Markle Sr., was arrested by the FBI near Tampa, Florida. US prosecutors said he is charged in connection with possessing child sexual abuse material.
He has since been released on bond and returned to his senior care facility. The charge is an allegation at this stage.
A representative for Harry and Meghan responded to questions about the arrest with "No comment".
BetterUp has not linked its announcement to either the family's move or the arrest.
