MasterChef Türkiye: Chef Somer denies swearing behind the muted Ayşe–Şadi row
After a heated clash between contestants Ayşe and Şadi, the sound cut out on air. Chef Somer Sivrioğlu now says no swearing took place.

The sound cut out in the middle of a heated argument on MasterChef Türkiye, and viewers quickly jumped to conclusions. Now Chef Somer Sivrioğlu has set the record straight.
Tension between contestants Ayşe and Şadi rose during the elimination vote. At one point the audio on the broadcast was muted, and many assumed someone had sworn. Chef Mehmet then sent both contestants backstage.
Somer rejected that idea. Swearing was not the reason for the muted sound, he said: "Asla öyle bir şey olmadı," meaning "That never happened."
He also underlined the show's red lines. According to his statement, "Violence against women is our red line."
The argument has become one of the most talked-about moments of the season.
