Kanye West stages first Yeezy fashion show in four years in Los Angeles

Kanye West, who now goes by Ye, is back on the fashion calendar. On Wednesday night he held his first fashion show in four years in Los Angeles, and it was a very different affair from the last one.
What happened?
The show took place at "DROAM 1", West's flagship space in a warehouse just southeast of Larchmont. Inside, it looked like an off-white cave with a hill in the middle.
The new line is called Yeezy Season 01. Models walked in minimalist, military-inspired basics, with boots, jackets and an oversized backpack. West also played several unreleased songs.
By his standards, the evening was low-key. He didn't speak during the show, only talking with guests who came up to him afterwards. There were no three-hour delays and no slogan T-shirts. At the end he took a bow to applause.

The backlash hasn't gone away, though. In the UK, Wireless Festival was cancelled after West was blocked from travelling to the country following his booking as a headliner.
Whether the fashion world will welcome him back is still an open question. Designer John Galliano recently pulled out of an honour at next year's Met Gala after criticism over his antisemitic rant in 2011.
