Asala Nasri says her jewellery box vanished after Detroit concert on US tour
Syrian singer Asala Nasri says her whole jewellery box, including pieces bearing her late father's name and photo, disappeared from her hotel bag after her Detroit show.

Syrian singer Asala Nasri has revealed that her jewellery box went missing during her US tour. She shared the story on Friday in a post on X.
She said she changed her jewellery at the hotel before heading to her concert in Detroit, the last stop of the tour, then went to bed. The next morning she opened her bag to swap her earrings, as she usually does, and the entire box was gone.
Among the lost items were pieces carrying her late father's name and picture, which she had waited more than a year to have made. The box also held gifts from her husband, her children and her friends, plus pieces she had bought herself to celebrate successful concerts, albums and songs. Their emotional value, she wrote, is far greater than their price.
Police came to the hotel, but she says she has heard nothing for nearly a week. She hesitated to speak out so the news would not overshadow a tour that, in her words, exceeded expectations, from Los Angeles to New Jersey to Detroit.
Her next date with fans is in Dubai, at the "Emirates Loves Syria" event. She says she is looking forward to singing there after some difficult days.
