Said and Malek El Mala: brothers in one Bundesliga squad
Said and Malek El Mala are the latest brothers to share a Bundesliga team. It's far from new: the Försters and the Rummenigges did it before them.

Two brothers in the same starting eleven? It sounds like a rare treat, but in the Bundesliga (Germany's top football league) it has happened more often than you might think.
The latest example is Said and Malek El Mala, who play together for 1. FC Köln. They join a list of sibling pairs who have shared a Bundesliga team over the years.
The Försters and the Rummenigges are among the best-known names on that list, and there are others too.
So while it still makes a nice story for the family, it is not the one-off it may seem. Brother pairs have turned up in Bundesliga squads again and again, and now the El Malas are the newest chapter.
