Lokomotiv Moscow have lost again, and this time the club has changed its head coach.

On 6 November, Lokomotiv lost 0-1 at home to Rubin of Kazan in the Russian Premier League (RPL, Russia's top football division). It was their third defeat in a row, and in all three games they failed to score.

The result leaves the Moscow side with 11 points from 14 matches. That is enough to drop them into the relegation zone.

After the match, club board chairman Yuri Nagornykh said at a press conference that the contract with head coach Mikhail Galaktionov would be ended early. The club's press service had not made a formal announcement on its website and social media at the time of reporting. A recording of the coach's press conference appeared on the club's Telegram channel.

The club has not yet said who will take charge of the team.
