Egypt's 'Camavinga' scores a screamer and celebrates like Bafétimbi Gomis
Mostafa Mohamed, nicknamed 'the Egyptian Camavinga', scored a stunning goal in the Egypt Cup, but his team still went out. His celebration went viral.

Meet Mostafa Mohamed, the Egyptian midfielder everyone online is calling "the Egyptian Camavinga". He scored a stunning long-range goal in the Egypt Cup round of 32, and social media loved it.
His club, Proxy, still lost. Sharqia Enppi won the match 3-2 and moved into the last 16.
After scoring, Mohamed surprised fans by copying the famous "lion" celebration of French striker Bafétimbi Gomis. So he borrowed one star's look and another star's celebration.
The nickname reportedly came from his brother, who compared him to Real Madrid and France midfielder Eduardo Camavinga. The reasons were his long hair and a strong resemblance in looks.
Fans had jokes ready. One wrote: "The real Camavinga wouldn't shoot it like that." Another said: "Camavinga himself hasn't done that in four years."
TV presenter Karim Ramzy went further on On Sports, saying the Egyptian Camavinga shot it better than the original.
He's not alone. Nicknaming players after global stars is a long tradition in Egyptian football, from youth levels to the national team, with players like Shikabala and Trezeguet. Plenty of lower-league players also carry foreign stars' names.
