Air defense systems spotted at Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida

Something has changed around Mar-a-Lago. Journalists covering Donald Trump's Florida residence say they have spotted air defense systems designed to counter drones.

The resort, which serves as the US president's home in Florida, is seeing what looks like a noticeable security upgrade. The equipment was picked up by reporters and photographers working near the site.

The systems are described as anti-drone defenses. That means they are meant to detect and stop small unmanned aircraft, rather than traditional fighter jets or missiles.

The details are still thin. The material available does not say exactly which systems have been deployed, who operates them, or when they were set up.

What is clear is that the president's Florida home now looks quite different from before, with visible new hardware protecting the airspace above it.
